Lacey Russ (center) of Cordell won the title of Miss SWOSU Outstanding Teen at Saturday's (November 14, 2009) pageant held at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Russ advances to the Miss Oklahoma Outstanding Teen Pageant next summer. Other finalists were Molly Kitchen of Tulsa (Metro Christian Academy) and second runner-up Allie Ayers of Snyder.

The Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2011 pageant is schedule to take place on June 30, 2011 at the National Palace Theatre in San Salvador. The winner of “Nuestra Belleza Universo 2011? will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2011 and the winner of “Nuestra Belleza Mundo 2011? will represent El Salvador at Miss World 2011. Sonia Cruz the regaining Nuestra Belleza Universo and Gabriela Molina the regaining Nuestra Belleza Mundo will crown their perspective succesors at the end of the event. For the first time ever 17 years old are allowed to participate.

On June 15, the 16 candidates participating in “Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2011? were announced on one of El Salvador’s morning talk show “Viva La Manana”. The participants are (from left to right) Gracia Molina (19), Griselda Canas (19), Karla Garcia (22), Sofia Cuestas (21), Glenda Martinez (17), Gabriela Mena (17), Klaudia Navarro (22), Carolina Fuentes (21), Wendy Leiva (22), Andrea Mariona (19), Karen Fortis (19), Evelyn Lopez (21), Aneyda Rico (20), Mayra Aldana (24), Marcela Castro (17), Alejandra Ochoa (18).
